Detroit rapper Hayes, co-signed by both super-producers Timbaland and Dr. Dre, just released his latest mixtape/street album. “The First 48” features 48 tracks with original productions from Timbaland, The Breakfast Club, JR Rotem and more.
“The First 48” features tracks like “Big Boy S—-,” “That’s OK,” and Hayes spitting over the Drake and Timbaland track “Say Something” from “Shock Value II.” Hayes is joining Timbaland for his “Shock Value II” tour as well.
“The First 48” is available as a free download and is currently circulating all over blogs. It follows his two previously successful mixtape/street album releases, “24 Songs of Power” and “Who Da F—- is Hayes.”
Hayes is co-signed to both Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment and Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group, as well as Interscope, where he’s been signed since 2007. The rapper has been writing for Dr. Dre’s long anticipated “Detox” album, which has been delayed for over 4 years.
“Me and Dre just signed him, this guy named Hayes from Detroit,” Timbaland told MTV back in December. “Incredible storyteller. Incredible. Reminds me of how B.I.G. tells his stories.”
